Redbox rented its three billionth disc in the U.S. during July 2013, adding yet another milestone to the company’s history of success since launching a little more than 10 years ago. That 3 billionth rental, The Call, by Sony Pictures, was rented at a Walgreens in Littleton, Colorado, FYI.
To thank America for making Redbox its destination for entertainment, the company is offering free promotional codes on itsFacebook page this Thursday, August 1, valid for free one-day movie and video-game rentals at any U.S. location.
Today, more than 68 percent of the U.S. population lives within a five-minute drive of a Redbox location.
