Ulta Beauty at Target

I was so excited to learn about Ulta Beauty at Target. That is, you’ll now find Ulta stores, if you will, inside Target locations.

Talk about combining two of my favorite places to shop. No offense, Nordstrom and Costco. I still love you two, too.

Ulta Beauty at Target locations

This Ulta Beauty store within a store concept launched in August 2021 in just a few hundred Target locations nationwide. Target’s goal is to have them in 800 or so stores in the next few years.

The rollout has been a bit slower than this Ulta/Target fan would like and really staggered. For example, when I lived in Western Pennsylvania, just north of Pittsburgh, I had to drive an hour to find a Target with an Ulta inside it.

I would have thought that a major metropolitan area like Pittsburgh would have had more of these stores.

However, now I’m in Maine. There are very few Target stores in Maine. Even so, the two closest to me–10 minutes away and 30 minutes away–both have the Ulta Beauty stores in them or at least they will shortly after going through renovations.

One of my favorite places to shop for everyday items is Target.

From time to time, Target offers coupon codes for savings. So, when that happens, I’ll post information right here.

What can you buy at Ulta inside Target

I can’t say for sure if these locations will carry as many items as free-standing Ulta stores. However, I can say that they will have at least 50 popular beauty brands.

For example, I was so excited to find this Bumble and Bumble Don’t Blow It styling cream and Curlsmith conditioning hair wash. I use both products regularly.

Combined rewards program

I’ve written about the Target Circle loyalty program and app. Well, at the Ulta locations inside Target, you can also earn points towards the “Ultamates” program.

In fact, I just combined my Ultamate Rewards with the Target Circle app. That way when I buy anything at an Ulta inside Target, I get both rewards.

Finally, you can use Target Drive Up to buy things from Ulta as well as Target online.

How to find Target stores with Ulta

Target has a great filter available on its store locator page. Just select the “Filter by Services” button and then click “Ulta Beauty at Target.” Then, click the red “Done Filtering” button to see your results.

If you don’t see your closest Target but it’s going through a renovation, ask at Guest Services if they’re getting an Ulta Beauty at that location. That’s what I did during a recent store pickup. Their response? “That’s what we’ve heard.”
