If you’ve been to a college town lately, then you’ve probably heard about Graduate Hotels.
This is a relatively new chain of hotels that target college towns.
Thus their name.
Right now, there are more than three dozen locations.
How I learned about Graduate Hotels
So, how did I learn about this unique chain of hotels?
When I started writing my roundups of hotels near colleges with Peloton bikes.
You see, the majority of these hotels have Peloton bikes in the hotel gym.
However, not all do.
What makes these hotels special
Each location is decorated to reflect the college it is located near. Or at least the town in which it is situated.
For example, the Graduate Hotel Eugene is close to the University of Oregon.
So, don’t be surprised if you see the Oregon Duck worked into the hotel motifs.
Also, with the school’s colors green and yellow, you’ll see lots of decor in those hues.
It’s the same with the Graduate Hotel in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Except in this instance you’ll find a makeshift basketball court woven into the lobby carpet to celebrate the UNC Tar Heels.
In case you didn’t know, basketball is a big deal here, as it is in many other college towns.
Finally, if you visit the Graduate Hotel in Ann Arbor, Michigan, you’ll see maize and blue everywhere.
Also, it helps that the property is literally on the edge of the University of Michigan campus.
Usually, you’ll see those college colors made into a unique plaid pattern.
Location in the United States
As of this writing (2023), there are 31 Graduate Hotel locations in the United States open.
Many of these are hotels with Peloton bikes.
You’ll find this uniquely collegiate lodging in the following locations.

The Graduate Annapolis hotel is located in the heart of the Annapolis Arts District and very close to the U.S. Naval Academy. Like many Graduate hotels in college towns or near universities, the Graduate Annapolis has Pelotons in the hotel gym. In fact, it has two, shown below.

The Graduate Berkeley hotel has one Peloton bike.
Also, the hotel has three electric car charging stations for guests to use.

If you want to work out at the Graduate Hotel Bloomington, you can take an Orangetheory Fitness class at the Orangetheory attached to the hotel.

The Graduate Chapel Hill has multiple Peloton bikes in its fourth floor fitness center for Tar Heels who want to keep their Peloton streak going.
Charlottesville, Virginia

Located across the street from the UVA campus, the Graduate Hotel Charlottesville has a Peloton bike in its fitness center.
Cincinnati, Ohio

I can confirm that the Graduate Cincinnati hotel has two Peloton bikes in its 24-hour fitness center. See the Facebook post below.
Columbia, South Carolina

Right on the campus of the University of South Carolina is the Graduate Columbia hotel. It’s dog friendly, hip and has at least one Peloton bike.

East Lansing, Michigan

According to the Expedia page for the Graduate East Lansing, there is one Peloton bike in this hotel’s fitness center. FYI, the Graduate East Lansing is super close to Michigan State University.
Eugene, Oregon

When I checked out the Graduate Eugene, I watched a video of the University of Oregon duck mascot riding the Peloton bike in the hotel gym.
Evanston, Illinois

Near Northwestern University, the Graduate Hotel Evanston seems to be the only hotel with a Peloton bike in this college town on Lake Michigan.

Graduate hotel locations coming soon
Right now, there are two new locations that should be opening soon.
One is in Princeton, New Jersey, because, you know, Princeton University.
The other is in Dallas, Texas.
That’s because it will be located near SMU or Southern Methodist University.
Previously, it was the Lumen Hotel.
Surprisingly, there is not a Graduate Hotel location in Austin, where the University of Texas is.
Maybe at some point in the near future there will be.
