Whimstay Offers Discounted Last-Minute Vacation Rentals…Plus Peloton Bikes
As you likely know from my articles about vacation rentals with Peloton bikes in them, there are two things our family looks for when going on vacation. One, a vacation rental, ideally where we can bring our dogs, that is affordable. And, two, a vacation rental that has Peloton equipment.

Previously, I would use well-known sites like AirBnB, VRBO or even Homes and Villas by Marriott Bonvoy to find vacation rentals. Recently, I’ve discovered Whimstay, which specializes in last-minute bookings at deep discounts.
Much like the travel comparison site Trivago, Whimstay lets you see what the vacation rental would cost if you booked on other sites so you can see, in real time, the discount they can offer you on a last-minute trip.
For the most part, when searching on Whimstay, I saw homes for rent that were significantly cheaper than on AirBnB and VRBO. In fact, according to Whimstay, prices must be at least 10 percent below the competitors sites for a 30-day period. Want to save the biggest? Book the most last-minute you can stomach. In some cases, I found stays that were more than half off the same home on the competition’s websites.
How Whimstay works
Whimstay fills nights that might be overlooked by other channels. When someone cancels last-minute or a property has a few days open between bookings, professional property managers list those stays on Whimstay at lower rates.
Whimstay Homes with Peloton Bikes
Over the years I’ve learned a few tricks of the trade for uncovering vacation rentals–and even hotels–with Peloton bikes. While you can filter homes by fitness equipment on Whimstay, you cannot ask specifically to search for mentions of Peloton bikes. So I did that for you, using my super special sleuthing skills. Here are some examples of what I found.
Durham, North Carolina Vacation Rental
A three-bedroom, two bath home in Durham features a fenced-in yard and a Peloton bike. On the day I’m writing this, this vacation rental on Whimstay is $160 per night cheaper than AirBnB.
Nashville, Tennessee Vacation Rental
This home in East Nashville is 7 minutes from Broadway and within walking distance of local bars and restaurants. The home, with a Peloton bike, has four bedrooms and four baths and can sleep up to 12 people.
Seaside Park, New Jersey Vacation Rental
Here is a home at the Jersey Shore that sleeps six, comes with beach passes and free parking. As the Whimstay listing says, at this vacation rental, the “Peloton-equipped living space keeps workouts convenient on vacation.”
Union Pier, Michigan Townhouse
When I searched on Whimstay for availability at the Union Pier, Michigan townhome that is walkable to Lake Michigan beaches, I discovered that a week was $600 cheaper than if I booked on AirBnB. This home has three bedrooms, three baths, can sleep 10 and the Peloton bike is tucked in a private workout nook.
Seminole, Florida Vacation Rental
Not only does this four-bedroom, two-bath home in Seminole, Florida have a Peloton bike but it also has a golf simulator. And on Whimstay, it’s $60 a night cheaper than other vacation rental sites.
