How to Do the Taylor Swift Workout on Peloton

By now you’ve probably heard about the Taylor Swift workout. Thousands of people are trying it and recording their results on Instagram, TikTok and more.

In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s this: when Time Magazine named Taylor Swift as the 2023 Person of the Year, they did a feature profile on her in the magazine. This is standard practice for any person of the year.

During that interview, Swift revealed one of the ways that she trained for the wildly successful Eras Tour. And that was singing her entire song set while running on a treadmill. FYI, that set lasted about three hours.

Here is how Time Magazine described Swift’s approach:

“Her training regimen included running on the treadmill every day while singing the entire Eras setlist aloud—”Fast for fast songs, and a jog or a fast walk for slow songs”—following a specialized strength, conditioning, and weights program at her gym, Dogpound, and doing three months of dance lessons.”

While you may not be able to recreate the dance lessons or the strength training portion of the workout, everyone can run or walk and sing. And guess what? You can do it with Peloton.

Turns out that there are plenty of Taylor Swift classes on the Peloton platform. For example, when I used the Peloton search feature and typed in “Taylor Swift,” I discovered that there are nearly 1200 classes with Taylor Swift songs in them.

In addition, when I searched for her name, I got a reverse chronological list of Taylor Swift-themed classes. Like classes that were 100% Taylor Swift music. These are Peloton rides, Peloton runs, strength training classes and even yoga.

And here’s the thing: it doesn’t matter what kind of class it is. What matters is the music. So, if you want to be able to program a workout that is all Taylor Swift music, you would just stack these classes and then take them how you want. You could run on the treadmill, run outside, walk, ride your bike or get on an elliptical machine. Really, anything you want.

Also, under Peloton Collections, you can scroll and find the Taylor Swift Collection. Currently, it has a purple box (if you’re scanning for it). There are 33 classes in it. This includes a few more classes than I found using the search function, mostly because at least one class is listed by the album name, not her name.

As I’ve established, you’ll find Taylor Swift-themed classes across most disciplines on Peloton. Again, these are legit Taylor Swift classes, not just classes that might have one or two songs. You’ll find classes from New York and London, including those led by German-speaking instructors and at least one class in Spanish.

Use the search feature on your Peloton to find them. Hopefully, this will make it easier for you to stack classes and create a Taylor Swift workout of your own on Peloton.
