Michigan Hotels with Peloton Bikes

As a former Ann Arbor resident, I was curious to find the Michigan hotels with Peloton bikes. This would be good to know for when we go back for Art Fair. I’ll do whatever necessary to keep my Peloton streak going.

While I was unable to find a Peloton hotel in Ann Arbor, I found them in plenty of other Michigan towns and cities. These include:

  • Bay Harbor
  • Birmingham
  • Detroit
  • East Lansing/Lansing
  • Mackinac Island
  • Plymouth
  • Pontiac
  • Traverse City
  • Troy

Michigan Hotels with Peloton Bikes

Like the other Peloton hotels articles I’ve written, this one on Michigan hotels with Peloton cycles grew out of my original Peloton hotel finder post. It covers not only the United States but the Caribbean and Canada as well as Europe.

As far as the list of Michigan hotels here, they appear in alphabetical order by location. Then, if there are multiple hotels with Peloton bikes in one Michigan location, hotels are listed in alphabetical order. Now, onto the list of Michigan hotels with Peloton bikes.

Peloton recently recalled original bikes because the seat post has broken a couple dozen times and injured riders.

Which Peloton bikes are affected

So, which bikes are affected?

  • Original Peloton model Bikes sold from January 2018 to May 2023 in the United States.
  • Peloton original Bike sold in the United States only.

It does not affect the following Peloton bikes:

  • Peloton bikes sold internationally
  • North America Bike+ models
  • International Peloton Bikes

I’m sorry to report that many hotels in the United States have unplugged their Peloton bikes, because they are most likely affected by this recall.

Inn at Bay Harbor, Autograph Collection

The Inn at Bay Harbor, Autograph Collection, is part of the Marriott family of hotels. You’ll find two Peloton bikes here, as shown, below.

Birmingham, Michigan hotels with Pelotons

Daxton Hotel

Located in this upscale Detroit suburb, the Daxton Hotel has one Peloton bike in its well-equipped fitness center and gym.

The Townsend Hotel

You’ll find two Peloton bikes at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Michigan. One of them is shown below from the hotel’s Facebook page. Notice the shoe cages on the pedals.

In addition, you’ll enjoy another benefit at this Peloton hotel:

Detroit, Michigan hotels with Peloton bikes

Aloft Detroit at the David Whitney

It’s a shame that the Aloft Detroit at the David Whitney doesn’t feature the Peloton bikes here on the hotel website. However, I can confirm that this cool hotel in downtown Detroit does, in fact, have two Peloton cycles in the fitness center gym.

Detroit Foundation Hotel

The Detroit Foundation Hotel has two Peloton bikes in the fitness center. Unfortunately, the hotel spells it as PelEton. Either way, you get to ride.

Element Detroit at the Metropolitan

There is one Peloton bike at the Element Detroit at the Metropolitan. Also, hotel guests can access the YMCA pool next door.

Marriott Hotel Brands

Looking for a Marriott hotel finder for a future stay when you can earn points as part of the Marriott Bonvoy rewards program?

Then make sure you familiarize yourself with all of the various Marriott brands. 

These brands many not all have Marriott in their names, but they are all part of the Marriott family:

Finally, many Marriott hotels have amenities worth noting.

This includes Peloton bikes (sometimes the Peloton Tread), Hydrow Rowers or Tonal/lululemon Studio smart gyms, plus electric vehicle charging.

Shinola Hotel

You’ll find two Peloton bikes at the hip Shinola Hotel in downtown Detroit.

Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport

The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport is inside DTW Airport grounds. The hotel’s website seems to indicate a single Peloton bike in the Westin Workout Studio.

East Lansing, Michigan hotel with a Peloton

Graduate East Lansing

According to the Expedia page for the Graduate East Lansing, there is one Peloton bike in this hotel’s fitness center. FYI, the Graduate East Lansing is super close to Michigan State University.

Courtyard Lansing Downtown

This is what I found on the Courtyard Lansing Downtown website regarding the Peloton onsite:

“Amp up your workout routine on the Peloton® bicycle in our Fitness Center.”

Mackinac Island, Michigan hotel with Peloton bikes

Grand Hotel

In all the years I lived in Michigan, I wanted to get to Mackinac Island and the Grand Hotel, but never did. If you didn’t know, Mackinac Island is a car-free island between the upper and lower peninsulas. 

Anyway, a Michigan friend–and fellow Pelo-enthusiast–recently stay at the Grand Hotel. He reported back that the hotel has two new Peloton bikes.

The Inn at St. John’s

The Inn at St. John’s is a AAA, five diamond resort outside Detroit. It added two Peloton bikes to its fitness center in mid-2021.

Pontiac, Michigan

Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac

Even though this Marriott is called the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac, it’s actually in Pontiac, Michigan, not Auburn Hills. Regardless of the location, multiple sources have confirmed that there are two Peloton bikes at this hotel.

Baywatch Resort

The staff at the Baywatch Resort is so excited about the Peloton bike in the fitness center. How do I know? Because I discovered this social media promotion the resort has to win a free towel:

“Receive a FREE Workout towel when you “Kept your streak while at the beach!” Simply share a photo of your Peloton Ride on social media and show an agent at the front desk to receive your FREE towel.”

The bike here has dual-sided pedals. So, SPD on one side (not the Peloton shoe cleat), and toe or shoe cages on the other.

Delamar DTC Hotel

The fitness center at the Delamar DTC Hotel has one Peloton bike. FYI, there are also Delamar Hotels with Pelotons in New England.

Troy, Michigan Peloton hotel

Detroit Marriott Troy

Here’s a fun fact to keep in mind if you happen to stay in the Detroit Marriott Troy in Troy, Michigan. While the hotel has Peloton bikes, there is also a Peloton store at the Somerset Collection in Troy, a nearby, upscale mall. So you could always ride in the store if the hotel bikes aren’t available–and if the Peloton showroom will allow it.

Hilton Hotel Finder

In Fall 2022 Hilton hotels announced that they were putting Peloton bikes in every U.S. Hilton hotel by year’s end.

That’s great news for Peloton users.

However, in early 2023, my husband stayed at an Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and there was not a Peloton in sight in the hotel gym.

So, caveat emptor.

Also, not all Hilton hotels have Hilton in the name, though many do.

Therefore, if you’re looking for a Hilton hotel, you should know all of the brands in the Hilton family.

Finally, even if a Hilton hotel doesn’t have a Peloton bike, you may want to book a stay in a Five Feet to Fitness room.

These guestrooms have workout centers in them, including 11 different pieces of cardio and strength equipment.

Final thoughts on Michigan Hotels with Peloton Bikes

This past summer we went to Art Fair in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I was so disappointed that none of the hotels in Ann Arbor has Peloton bikes. I thought for sure the Graduate Hotel there would, but, nope.

However, if that changes, I’ll be sure to update this post. Similarly, if you’ve stayed at, work for or represent a Michigan hotel with a Peloton–and I haven’t included it here–please reach out and let me know.
