Marriott Hotels with EV Chargers

From my research, I feel confident saying that Marriott hotels have one the highest number of EV chargers of chains in the United States.

Sure, Hilton, Radisson and even Holiday Inn promote offering their guests EV charging stations.

However, in researching this article, I found that Marriott properties seem to consistently offer the ability for guests to charge their electric vehicles.

Many properties offer this amenity for free.

Even better, most are Level 2 chargers, so you can get your car ready to roll faster than Level 1 chargers.

Why write about this?

Because very soon we’ll be in the market for a new car.

We have a 2014 Subaru Impreza, with 100,000+ miles on it, that we’re keeping alive for as long as we can.

However, when the time comes, we’re going to go for a hybrid electric or an electric, plug-in, such as the Subaru Solterra.

You see, we’re a devout Subaru family.

We’ve owned five Subarus over the years so trying the Solterra only makes sense.

Anyway, I know that what’s holding back many Americans from getting EVs is something called range anxiety. That is, they are (and I am) worried about where you can plug in a car.

They may also worry about how long it takes to charge an electric car. Nonetheless, I thought it was important to share this information about finding EV chargers at hotels.

Marriott hotels with EV chargers

Nearly every state in America has a Marriott hotel location with electric vehicle charging stations.

Only Alaska, Rhode Island and Vermont do not seem to have any Marriott hotels with EV chargers.

Or at least I could not independently confirm that they existed.

On the other hand, it’s important for you to know that not all hotels say Marriott in the name.

So, before I get into the rundown of where you’ll find charging for EVs, let me share the various Marriott brands.

Marriott Hotel Brands

Looking for a Marriott hotel finder for a future stay when you can earn points as part of the Marriott Bonvoy rewards program?

Then make sure you familiarize yourself with all of the various Marriott brands. 

These brands many not all have Marriott in their names, but they are all part of the Marriott family:

Finally, many Marriott hotels have amenities worth noting.

This includes Peloton bikes (sometimes the Peloton Tread), Hydrow Rowers or Tonal/lululemon Studio smart gyms, plus electric vehicle charging.

Where are Marriott hotels with EV charging stations

Below is a state-by-state list of Marriott Bonvoy hotels that offer this kind of vehicle charging.

Because the list is so overwhelmingly long, I tried to fact check each and every one. 

If I couldn’t find a second or third source that could confirm EV charging–including with a picture of the EV charging station–then I didn’t include it in this article.

Therefore, I may be missing a hotel here or there that readers discover does have charging.

Now onto the list of hotel locations where you can plug in your electric car or truck.

FYI, the Marriott hotel websites refer to this amenity as an electric car charging station.

  1. Marriott, Newport Rhode Island has EV chargers, however their parking fee is $40 per night.

    Renaissance, Providence Rhode Island guests park for $25 self park, $32 valet at the Providence Mall and several levels of the garage have EV chargers.

  2. we drive from Cape Cod MA to Austin TX and back each year in our Tesla and there’s only one Marriott property either way that has EV Level 2 chargers (Birmingham AL Bohemian Boutique). As a Lifetime Titanium Elite member we have stayed in CT, WV, TN, MD, AK, MS, SC, VA along the way and none have onsite L2 chargers. We always have to pick places with local Superchargers because of this.
