Nordstrom Spa

Decades ago when I was a beauty reporter for Allure Magazine, I covered the opening of the Nordstrom Spa at the Somerset Collection Mall.

You see, I was living in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the time.

That Nordstrom Spa — or Spa Nordstrom as it’s now called — was located in Troy, Michigan, about an hour away.

Fast forward a few years, and when I was living in Western Pennsylvania, the nearest Spa Nordstrom was still the Troy Nordstrom at the Somerset Collection — in Michigan. I was really surprised that the Pittsburgh Nordstrom, at the Ross Park Mall, didn’t have one.

Now that I’m living in Southern Maine, you would think I would be able to go to the various Nordstrom department stores in Massachusetts, Connecticut or even New York City for spa services.

Nope. The nearest full-service Spa Nordstrom now is at the Nordstrom Garden City in New York. That’s on Long Island where I grew up.

Crazy, I know.

Nordstrom Spa

Even though some Nordstrom department store locations have a spa onsite, not all are called the Nordstrom Spa.

In fact, there are three iterations you might find at your local store.

They could be:

• Spa Nordstrom
• Style Bar
• Beauty Haven

On the other hand, right now only stores in eight states offer beauty and pampering services.

Those states are:

• Arizona
• California
• Connecticut
• Illinois
• Michigan
• New York
• Texas
• Washington State

Nordstrom Spa services and price list

What you’ll pay for services at the Nordstrom Spa depends on the length and other factors.

Therefore, I’ve included a range of Nordstrom Spa prices here.

Also, the price list and services can vary by location.

Overall, you can expect to find the following services available at the Nordstrom Spa:

• Facial ($135-$195)
• Manicure ($40-$70)
• Massage ($95-$250)
• Pedicure ($50-$80)

However, let me break it down for you by location.

That is, I’ll share which of the stores in those aforementioned eight states have either the Spa Nordstrom, Beauty Haven or Style Bar.

Then, I’ll share what services they offer.

Finally, if there is anything you need to know, such as how to book an appointment or if you can buy a gift card, I’ll include that, too.

One last thing: most of these beauty services are available during the same hours that the store is open.

Nordstrom NYC

When I visited the Nordstrom NYC location to take myself to lunch at the store’s restaurant, I expected that this flagship store would have all of the spa and beauty services available.

I was wrong

Nordstrom NYC has Beauty Haven only. So, if you were looking for Nordstrom makeup services, this is it.

You’ll find it on the store’s first floor.

This is what it looks like.

The Beauty Haven at Nordstrom NYC also includes these services:

• Anastasia Beverly Hills brows
• Drybar
• FaceGym
• HydroPeptide
• Londontown nails

Spa Nordstrom Scottsdale

Not only does the Scottsdale Nordstrom store, located in Fashion Square, have a spa, but also these services:

• Anastasia Beverly Hills brows
• Beauty Stylists

You can make an appointment online for any of these beauty and pampering services.

Nordstrom Troy Michigan

As I mentioned at the top of this article, my first experience with the Nordstrom Spa was at the Somerset Collection store in Troy, Michigan.

Turns out that the spa is still open.

Plus, the Somerset Collection Nordstrom also has beauty stylists.

Finally, you can make appointments online for both.

Nordstrom Spa Roosevelt Field Mall

The Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, New York, is where you’ll find Long Island’s only full-service Nordstrom department store location. So, that’s where the Nordstrom Garden City is, if you were wondering.

On the other hand, there are plenty of Nordstrom Racks.

Do you know the difference between Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack?

However, if you’re interested in the Nordstrom Spa, Garden City is where you’ll have to go. In fact, it’s where I would have to go from New England if I wanted to visit the Spa Nordstrom nearest to me.

Nordstrom Spa Seattle

The Nordstrom store in Downtown Seattle is the chain’s flagship store.

That is, when Nordstrom started more than 100 years ago, it was in Seattle, Washington.

There are a range of spa and beauty services at this location, including:

• Nordstrom Spa
• Anastasia Beverly Hills brows
• Beauty Stylists
• Londontown nail bar

Book all appointments at Nordstrom online.

Nordstrom Beauty Haven Connecticut

The Nordstrom department store in Norwalk, Connecticut is at the SoNo Collection.

There you’ll find Beauty Haven services only. So, if I didn’t want to make the schlep to Long Island for the spa but wanted Beauty Haven services only, I could head to Norwalk, Connecticut. It’s about a four-hour drive.

Here is how Nordstrom explains what’s available:

“Beauty Haven: A self-care destination offering innovative beauty and wellness services including:

Anastasia Beverly Hills: Your trained Brow Studio expert will reshape and sculpt the perfect brow arch.

Nail Bar – Londontown: Thoughtfully clean and expertly formulated with supercharged natural ingredients, this is the ultimate in nail care and color.”

Finally, the Norwalk store also has beauty stylists you can book appointments with.

Texas Nordstrom locations

There are two Nordstrom department stores in Texas that fit the theme of this article.

One is at the North Park Center in Dallas.

The other is at the Galleria in Houston.

At the Dallas Nordstrom, you can book appointments online for the following:

• Anastasia Beverly Hills brows
• Beauty Stylists
• Nordstrom Spa Dallas

On the other hand, the Nordstrom at the Galleria in Houston only has a spa and beauty stylists.

However, you can still book appointments online.

Nordstrom locations in California

There are five Nordstrom stores with beauty and pampering services.

I’ve broken them out by services.

Beauty Haven California

The Los Angeles Nordstrom at The Grove has a Beauty Haven.

So does the Newport Beach store at Fashion Island.

Here is how Nordstrom describes Beauty Haven:

“Beauty Haven is an immersive and interactive service floor featuring wellness, hair care and beauty tools. Our top-trending brands and services pamper you from head to toe—whether you have 30 minutes or three hours.”

Nordstrom Spa

The Nordstrom stores in Costa Mesa at South Coast Plaza as well as San Francisco Centre in, where else, San Francisco, both have Nordstrom Spa services.

You can book services at Costa Mesa online.

Also, you can book services at San Francisco online.

Style Bar California

The Nordstrom at the Galleria at Roseville features the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Studio as well as a nail salon. You may refer to it among friends as the Nordstrom Brow Bar.

In case you didn’t know, Anastasia is the eyebrow artist to the stars.

You can get everything from a brow trim ($10) to a brow tinting ($35) to a brow and lip wax ($49) at an Anastasia Brow Studio inside Nordstrom.

Find a Nordstrom location, beyond the Roseville location, with an Anastasia eyebrow studio or brow bar.

Spa services at Nordstrom Oak Brook, Illinois

The Nordstrom store at Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook, Illinois, is the only store in the United State that offers two of these three kinds of Nordstrom beauty and pampering services in the same store.

That is, the services that fall under one of these headings.

• Nordstrom Spa
• Beauty Haven

However, the Oak Brook store may call them something different.

So, let me explain exactly what services you can book at this Chicago area Nordstrom store.

Also, this is a location where you can get alterations at Nordstrom or do curbside pickup and returns.

Nordstrom Spa Oakbrook

The services here range from lash tinting ($35) to body waxing ($12 to $90) to facials ($135 to $295) to massage ($175 to $250).

The Beauty Floor

The Beauty Floor, part of Beauty Haven, is where you’ll find the following services that you can book:

• Anastasia Signature services (eyebrows, lash tint and waxing: $17 to $88)

Londontown nail bar

• Traditional manicures ($40 to $70)
• Pedicure ($50 to $70)
• Polish removal ($10 to $15)

Beauty styling

In addition, you can book free makeup application appointments like you would get at any department store.

However, these are ones you can book online, based on your desired outcome.

For example, if you have a special occasion coming up and need help with makeup, you would book a 45-minute appointment for in-store beauty styling.

Paying for Spa Nordstrom services

I’ve just confirmed with Nordstrom something great: if you have Nordstrom gift cards, you can use them to pay for Spa Nordstrom or makeup and beauty services. Awesome.

Other beauty services at Nordstrom

There doesn’t have to be a spa at a Nordstrom store for you to get certain beauty and pampering services.

For example, Nordstrom is home to the Anastasia Brow Studio, which I’ve mentioned a few times already.

However, nearly 70 Nordstrom locations have an Anastasia Brow Studio onsite.

That’s way more stores than the ones that also have a spa.

In case you didn’t know, Anastasia Brow products are a cruelty-free brand.

What is Beautycycle?

Another beauty “benefit” Nordstrom offers is Beautycycle.

It’s Nordstrom’s free service to recycle beauty product packaging that your curbside recycling program may not take.

Here is what you can recycle through Beautycycle:

• Hair spray bottles and triggers
• Shampoo and conditioner bottles and caps
• Hair gel tubes and caps
• Hair paste plastic jars and caps
• Lip balm tubes
• Face soap dispensers and tubes
• Lotion bottles, tubes, dispensers, and jars
• Shaving foam tubes (no cans)
• Lip gloss tubes
• Mascara tubes
• Eye liner pencils and cases
• Eye shadow and tubes
• Concealer tubes and sticks

You can bring your empty beauty products to any Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom Local location.

You’ll often find the Beautycycle box in the beauty department.

However, at the Nordstrom Rack in South Portland, Maine, for example, I found the Beautycycle box by the exit, not in the beauty department.

This is what that box looks like, so you’ll know what to look for.

Beautycycle is part of the Terracycle free recycling programs.
