South Carolina Peloton Hotels and Rentals

This blog post about South Carolina Peloton hotels and rentals was written for a simple purpose. I know that people traveling to South Carolina are looking for hotels with Peloton bikes.

In addition, I know that people looking to vacation on Hilton Head Island and other South Carolina locations would love to find a vacation rental that comes with a Peloton. So I’ve included rental info (there isn’t much) at the bottom of this post.

Why write about South Carolina hotels with Pelotons

Like so many of these Peloton hotels posts I’ve written, this one on South Carolina Peloton hotels started in my bigger post about Peloton hotels worldwide. However, once that article got too big–more than 14,000 words long–I decided to start writing location-specific posts about Peloton hotels in different states.

How I’ve organized this info on South Carolina Peloton hotels

Below, you’ll find my list of South Carolina Peloton hotels. It is organized first in alphabetical order by location. That is, by city or town in South Carolina. Then, within each South Carolina city or town, you’ll find an alphabetical list of the Peloton hotels there.

As always, if I’ve missed a location in South Carolina with Peloton hotels, please let me know. Once I can confirm any new information, I’ll add it to this post.

Gyms with Peloton bikes in South Carolina

If you’re looking for a non-hotel gym with a Peloton bike, I know of only one in South Carolina. And that would be the Anytime Fitness in Charleston.

Otherwise, all of the gyms with Pelotons I’ve included here are either in hotels or private vacation rentals. The latter appears at the bottom of the post.

Peloton recently recalled original bikes because the seat post has broken a couple dozen times and injured riders.

Which Peloton bikes are affected

So, which bikes are affected?

Original Peloton model Bikes sold from January 2018 to May 2023 in the United States.
Peloton original Bike sold in the United States only.

It does not affect the following Peloton bikes:

Peloton bikes sold internationally
North America Bike+ models
International Peloton Bikes

I’m sorry to report that many hotels in the United States have unplugged their Peloton bikes, because they are most likely affected by this recall.

List of South Carolina Peloton Hotels

Charleston

Charleston Place, a Belmond Hotel

When the Charleston Place hotel first announced it had Peloton bikes in the fitness center, it was on Facebook. See the post, below.

Now, the hotel offers two ways to use the Peloton bikes on site. One, you can ride them in the hotel gym. Two, you can book a private workout suite to exercise in your own space.

Emeline

The Emeline hotel has tons of positive reviews about the Peloton bike in the gym.

Francis Marion Hotel

According to multiple reviews, there are two Peloton cycles at the Francis Marion Hotel.

Hotel Bella Grace/Charleston Historic District

A Peloton is listed as “additional equipment” in the gym at the Hotel Bella Grace/Charleston Historic District.

The Loutrel

One of Charleston’s boutique hotels, The Loutrel has a fitness studio with a single Peloton bike.

Ryder Hotel

I had a nice little chat with The Ryder Hotel on Instagram. I’d reached out after learning they had Pelotons. Here is what they told me:

Peloton Bikes can be delivered to guest rooms for an additional fee of $20/day. To book, please inquire with the concierge or front desk.

Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel

There is one Peloton bike in the fitness center gym at the Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel.

Residence Inn Charleston Riverview

There is one Peloton bike at the Residence Inn Charleston Riverview.

Springhill Suites Charleston Riverview

If you’re looking for a Charleston Marriott hotel with a Peloton, the Springhill Suites Charleston Riverview is it–not the Courtyard Charleston Waterfront. In fact, the Springhill Suites has three Peloton bikes, all with weights on the back (so a Facebook friend says).

Marriott Hotel Brands

Looking for a Marriott hotel finder for a future stay when you can earn points as part of the Marriott Bonvoy rewards program?

Then make sure you familiarize yourself with all of the various Marriott brands.

These brands many not all have Marriott in their names, but they are all part of the Marriott family:

Finally, many Marriott hotels have amenities worth noting.

This includes Peloton bikes (sometimes the Peloton Tread), Hydrow Rowers or Tonal/lululemon Studio smart gyms, plus electric vehicle charging.

Columbia

Graduate Columbia

Right on the campus of the University of South Carolina is the Graduate Columbia hotel. It’s dog friendly, hip and has at least one Peloton bike.

Hilton Columbia Center

A Facebook friend posted a picture of the bike in the Hilton Columbia Center fitness center, which she rode during a recent stay. So I can confirm that you’ll find a Peloton at this Columbia, South Carolina hotel.

Hilton Hotel Finder

In Fall 2022 Hilton hotels announced that they were putting Peloton bikes in every U.S. Hilton hotel by year’s end.

That’s great news for Peloton users.

However, in early 2023, my husband stayed at an Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and there was not a Peloton in sight in the hotel gym.

So, caveat emptor.

Also, not all Hilton hotels have Hilton in the name, though many do.

Therefore, if you’re looking for a Hilton hotel, you should know all of the brands in the Hilton family.

I’ve included a link directly to each Hilton brand so you can book a room directly with Hilton.

Tempo by Hilton Wellness Room with Peloton Bike

Finally, even if a Hilton hotel doesn’t have a Peloton bike, you may want to book a stay in a Five Feet to Fitness room. These guestrooms have workout centers in them, including 11 different pieces of cardio and strength equipment.

Greenville

AC Hotel Greenville

This Marriott property is located right in downtown Greenville. You’d never know that the hotel has three Peloton bikes in its fitness center. That is, the AC Hotel Greenville website doesn’t indicate their presence.

However, I’ve got well-connected and well-traveled Facebook friends. They confirmed for me that the bikes are there and in excellent condition.

Residence Inn Greenville

The Residence Inn Greenville is very excited about the addition of Pelotons to the hotel gym. On the hotel’s fitness page, it says this:

NEW – PELOTON BIKE!!

Residence Inn Greenville Downtown

A second Residence Inn hotel with Pelotons in Greenville, the Residence Inn Greenville Downtown is said to have three Peloton bikes in the hotel gym.

Hilton Head Island

The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa

You’ll find three Peloton bikes, in their own space, at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa.

Isle of Palms

The Wild Dunes Resort

A reader named Mike recently reached out to let me know that The Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms has Pelotons. Here’s what he wrote:

“They had two Peloton Bikes when we first stayed there in May, 2021, and again in May, 2022. One thing to note, the bikes are set up with the shoe traps on the pedals, however, pedals for shoe clips are available in the closet, and can be quickly changed with the wrench which is also in the closet with the pedals.”

Kiawah Island

Andell Inn

The real, full and complete name for the Andell Inn is Charleston Kiawah Island Andell Inn Residence Inn by Marriott. It’s part of the Marriott family.

I had to do some deep digging to discover that the hotel gym and fitness center has Peloton bikes.

Mount Pleasant

Cambria Hotel Mount Pleasant – Charleston

You wouldn’t know it from visiting the Cambria Hotel Mount Pleasant – Charleston website. But this is a Peloton hotel near Charleston.

Myrtle Beach

Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort

A Facebook friend recently shared that the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort has two Peloton bikes in the gym. However, they do not seem to have toe or shoe cages.

The Pirates Voyage dinner show is a fun evening of entertainment while in Myrtle Beach.

North Augusta

Crowne Plaza North Augusta

I was able to spot two Peloton bikes in a picture of the Expedia page of the Crowne Plaza North Augusta.

Spartanburg

AC Hotel Spartanburg

There is one Peloton bike in the gym at the AC Hotel Spartanburg.

South Carolina Vacation Rentals with Pelotons

Like the information on South Carolina Peloton hotels, above, this section on vacation rentals is organized similarly. That is, I’ll list towns in alphabetical order.

There are two rental companies I use to gather information on homes with Pelotons. They are Homes and Villas by Marriott and VRBO.

So, I’ve listed rentals, below, under the headings of the companies that you can book through for your vacation rental stay with a Peloton.

Hilton Head

So excited to have discovered this Hilton Head vacation rental with a Peloton listed on Homes and Villas by Marriott. It’s a four-bedroom, three-plus bath home with a home office workspace and, of course, a Peloton nook in that same room.
