How to Use a Peloton While Traveling
If you’re a Peloton user like I am, you may be wondering if you can continue to use your Peloton while traveling.
Well, the good news is that you can. In fact, the whole purpose of this article is to provide you with more than a half dozen ways you can use Peloton bikes while traveling.
In addition, I’ll cover options for using the Peloton app, even when you’re at 30,000 feet or in the middle of the ocean on a cruise ship with Pelotons. I think you’ll find this information super useful.

Peloton bikes while traveling: hotels
Right now I’ve got nearly four dozen Peloton hotel-related blog posts written. My goal is to write posts for every geographic location that has a decent cluster of hotels with Peloton bikes in them.
Of course, I have my “main” Peloton hotel finder article, which provides overall advice on finding a place to stay with a Peloton bike in the hotel gym or even in a guest room. But as far as the cities, states and countries I’ve also covered, here is an alphabetical list.

Finally, many Marriott hotels have amenities worth noting.
This includes Peloton bikes (sometimes the Peloton Tread), Hydrow Rowers or Tonal/lululemon Studio smart gyms, plus electric vehicle charging.
Other Peloton hotel locations I’ve covered
In addition, I’ve covered hotels at airports with Peloton cycles. Also, I’ve written about college towns where you can find a hotel with a Peloton bike.
These Peloton hotel pieces continue to be works in progress. That means that as I come across new information, I’ll add it to that aforementioned main Peloton hotel finder article, or one of the destination-specific ones. Then, when I have enough hotels with Pelotons on property in a single location (primarily, a state), I’ll write a new, separate post.
Anyway, it’s clear that booking a stay in a hotel with a Peloton bike is extremely popular. It’s also one of the easiest ways to keep your Peloton streak going when you’re traveling. Finally, if I’ve missed a location where you yourself have stayed in a Peloton hotel while traveling, do let me know.
Hilton Hotel Finder
In Fall 2022 Hilton hotels announced that they were putting Peloton bikes in every U.S. Hilton hotel by year’s end.
That’s great news for Peloton users.
However, in early 2023, my husband stayed at an Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and there was not a Peloton in sight in the hotel gym.
So, caveat emptor.
Also, not all Hilton hotels have Hilton in the name, though many do.
Therefore, if you’re looking for a Hilton hotel, you should know all of the brands in the Hilton family.
You’ll find them in alphabetical order here in my Hilton Hotel Finder.
I’ve included a link directly to each Hilton brand so you can book a room directly with Hilton.
- Canopy by Hilton
- Conrad Hotels
- Curio Collection by Hilton
- DoubleTree by Hilton
- Embassy Suites by Hilton
- Hampton by Hilton
- Hilton Garden Inn
- Hilton Hotels & Resorts
- Home 2 Suites by Hilton
- Homewood Suites by Hilton
- LXR Hotels & Resorts USA Locations
- LXR Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Locations
- Motto by Hilton
- Signia by Hilton
- Tapestry Collection by Hilton
- Tempo by Hilton
- Tru by Hilton
- Waldorf-Astoria
Finally, even if a Hilton hotel doesn’t have a Peloton bike, you may want to book a stay in a Five Feet to Fitness room. These guestrooms have workout centers in them, including 11 different pieces of cardio and strength equipment.
Peloton bike recall and hotel bikes
Peloton recently recalled original bikes because the seat post has broken a couple dozen times and injured riders.
Which Peloton bikes are affected
So, which bikes are affected?
- Original Peloton model Bikes sold from January 2018 to May 2023 in the United States.
- Peloton original Bike sold in the United States only.
It does not affect the following Peloton bikes:
- Peloton bikes sold internationally
- North America Bike+ models
- International Peloton Bikes
I’m sorry to report that many hotels in the United States have unplugged their Peloton bikes, because they are most likely affected by this recall.
Vacation rentals with a Peloton bike
There’s no doubt that more Americans are vacationing by staying in home rentals. Nearly everyone I know will book a private home or apartment for a vacation, especially if they’re traveling with children.
So, it made perfect sense for me to explore a niche within the vacation rental industry–homes with Peloton bikes. That was the genesis of this blog post on how to find a vacation rental with a Peloton. In this article not only did I find homes with Peloton bikes but some had Peloton Treads, too.
So, where are these rental homes with Pelotons? Here is an alphabetical listing of the locations I’ve covered. Right now there are 30 plus in the United States and the Caribbean.

How I found vacation rentals with Pelotons
I’ve used two terrific sources for finding these Peloton vacation rentals. One, VRBO. And, two, Homes & Villas by Marriott International.
On occasion, I’ve found homes with Pelotons on Expedia and Orbitz, too. However, VRBO and Homes & Villages by Marriott tend to be the best sources of information.
Can you find a Peloton in a vacation rental on your own
If you’re trying to do research on your own, good luck. Because none of the major vacation rental sites let you filter using the term Peloton.
The best you’ll do is home gym or workout space. But then there’s no way to know if that home gym or workout space has the specific hardware you’re seeking.
However, I’m very good at what I do. And that’s sleuthing out information that others are seeking. Therefore, if you’re in the market for a vacation rental with a Peloton, I’ll point you towards that blog post on this topic.
Finally, if you have a home with a Peloton that you’ve considered renting out, here is a link to sign up with VRBO. Also, if you happen to have a home in Canada that you rent and it has a Peloton, please reach out to let me know. I’d love to add it to my articles.
Cruise Ships with Peloton Bicycles
I’ve written a separate article about cruises with Pelotons. It explains which Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean ships now have Peloton on board.
Local gyms with Peloton bikes when you’re traveling
If you’re not staying in a hotel or vacation rental with a Peloton, you may be able to find a local gym that will give you a day pass. I’ve heard from readers who were traveling and found Peloton bikes at Anytime Fitness locations, a local YMCA and also university clubs.
This article on U.S. gyms with Pelotons can help you locate one.
College campuses with a Peloton
In addition, some colleges and universities have Pelotons on campus. I wrote about this topic in this blog post. It covers college towns with Peloton hotels.
However, within that post, I’ve also included some on-campus options, too. If you’re an alum or a parent of a current student, it’s possible you might be able to get a day pass to the campus recreation center where you’ll find the Peloton bikes.
Some of the colleges with Pelotons include:
- Emory University
- Harvard University
- Miami Dade College
- University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- University of Massachusetts-Amherst
- The University of North Carolina-Charlotte
- University of Utah
- University of Vermont
- The University of Virginia
If I’ve missed any colleges or universities with a Peloton on campus, please let me know. I’d love to include them in my post.
Peloton app on Delta Airlines
You can enjoy the Peloton app while traveling on Delta Airlines. Specifically, Peloton content is loaded into the seat-back televisions on Delta Airlines planes.
That content is primarily yoga, meditation and stretching that you can do while seated. Peloton is calling it “Classes in the Clouds.”
According to a Facebook post announcing this partnership with Delta Airlines, here is what Peloton said:
“You can now access exclusive Peloton classes in-flight from your Delta seatback screen, including seated stretches and sleep meditations with the instructors you know and love.”
Peloton app travel collection
In addition to introducing these “Classes in the Clouds,” Peloton has put together a new travel collection of classes. Called Made for Travel it includes 40+ classes you can do anytime, anywhere, using the Peloton app.
The Made for Travel collection of Peloton classes includes:
- outdoor walks on the Peloton app
- core strength
- meditation
- HIIT classes
- yoga
And so much more.
If you’re flying with children and bring some airplane activities for toddlers to do, maybe you’ll be able to get in a class or two during your flight.
Peloton meditation and yoga on Qantas Airways
As I mentioned in this article about Australia hotels with Peloton bikes, Peloton Australia recently announced a new partnership with Qantas Airways. That is, on certain international flights, passengers will have access to seated meditation and yoga classes with Australian instructor Kirra Michel. Not in person, of course, but as part of the in-flight entertainment.
Finding a way to move during a long flight is good for your mind and body, especially if you’re flying from the United States to Australia. Here are other long-haul flight tips to keep in mind.
Peloton bikes in airport lounges
One of the newest ways to ride a Peloton bike while traveling is to do so in an airport lounge. There are just a handful of Peloton-stocked areas in airports worldwide.
As I wrote about in this blog post about airport hotels with Peloton bikes, right now there is one airport lounge with Pelotons in the United States and one in the United Kingdom.
Capital One Peloton Airport Lounges
As I mentioned there is one U.S. airport lounge with Pelotons. Capital One, the credit card and financial services company, recently opened the Capital One Lounge at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport in Texas.
The lounge is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and located in Terminal D by Gate 22. Not only does it have Peloton bikes but also there are showers you can use for after your workout.
Two additional Capital One Lounges will arrive in major airports in 2023. They will be at Denver International Airport and at Washington Dulles International Airport outside Washington, D.C.
More about Peloton credit card deals, offers and benefits.
Finally, since some of these airports will be under construction in the next few years, you should plan to get there early enough to get in a workout before your flight.
Virgin Atlantic’s Clubhouse at London’s Heathrow Airport
The other airport lounge with Pelotons is across the pond, at London’s Heathrow Airport. That lounge is the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse.
According to Virgin Atlantic Airways, the lounge is located in the Upper Class Wing at London Heathrow Terminal 3. It is open 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. or that day’s last departure.
My research tells me there are three Peloton bikes in the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse. The photo, below, confirms my research is correct.
Also, there are showers in the airport lounge. So, good to know if you’re traveling to/from London on Virgin Atlantic in the near future.
This article on airport layovers offers additional perks you never knew existed.
Ride a bike at a Peloton store
When you’re traveling to a location where there is also a Peloton store, you could get your ride on with one of the store bikes. Yes, riding in a showroom is still an option, although quite different from before.
I realize that you cannot ride milestone rides like you once could in these showrooms. For example, I rode my 900th cycling class at the Peloton showroom in Pittsburgh in February 2019, before the world shutdown.
I once wrote about how to get “free” Peloton classes in this blog post. However, I know people are still taking test rides on Peloton cycles and test runs on Peloton Treads.
That says to me that you could always book a “test” appointment at a Peloton store at your vacation destination or on a business trip. And then take your class that way. However, I realize this likely wouldn’t work on consecutive days in the same location.
Unfortunately, these days you can take a 10-minute class only when you book a walkthrough at a Peloton showroom. But, hey, at least you can keep your streak going.
Final thoughts on Peloton while traveling
In this blog post I’ve given you lots of options on how to find a Peloton bike while traveling. These options ranged from booking lodging at a home or hotel with a bike, or finding a local gym with one.
In addition, I’ve shared with you options at the airport. This includes taking classes while flying Delta Airlines.
If I’ve missed an option that you’ve used to keep your Peloton streak alive when you were traveling, please post a comment and let me know.
My Peloton bike at home has multiple user accounts to choose from (one for each family member). When I log in on the road, only my wife’s user account (the primary user) seems to be available. Is there a way to fix this?
You should have created your own “account” with a separate email and password. That’s what you’ll need to log in. Or use your leaderboard name instead of email and then the password. Hope that helps.
Leah
Thanks for the list.
Sad to see that Disney cruises do not have peloton bikes!
That could always change in the future. Fingers crossed.
